Who it's for
Why people come to Tessa
Do you recognize yourself? This is what Tessa most often works with.
Tension is stuck in your body
You know you're stressed, but talking alone doesn't resolve it. Yin and fascia work create space where words stop — coaching helps you integrate it.
You sleep poorly or can't settle
Always on, overstimulated, short of breath. Through yin, breath and nervous-system regulation your body relearns what 'off' feels like.
You want yin with personal coaching
Not just a yoga class. Tessa often combines yin with 1:1 coaching: first feeling in the body, then clarity in the here-and-now — without forcing.
Emotions feel heavy or out of reach
In the stillness of a yin pose or gentle 1:1 coaching, feeling is allowed without forcing. Nothing needs to go — it may be integrated.
You want soft coaching, no pressure
Boundaries, here-and-now, closer to your core. Tessa invites, forces nothing — and lets you find the answers that fit. On retreats too.
Your body feels stiff, your posture heavy
Hips, shoulders or lower back that will not move with you. Tessa can teach yin, hatha or vinyasa with more emphasis on posture and mobility — same class form, different doorway. Not physio, poses adapted to you.
You want ease in joints and connective tissue
Long yin holds often work in practice with fascia and the psoas as a way in. Many people notice more space; that is not a proven medical fact, a gentle body practice alongside a full yoga class.
If you need acute psychiatric care or trauma treatment: we refer you on. Yoga and coaching are not a substitute for therapy or medical care.

Tessa works softly and body-based: yin, hatha and vinyasa. Two doors stay open — a full yoga class, or a class with more emphasis on posture, mobility and ease in the joints. Her Yin/Hatha/Vinyasa can be both. She often combines yin with 1:1 coaching — first space in the body, then conversation in the here-and-now. With Johannes she lives nomadically; nature feeds her work.

The Presence Process
Tessa was a guest on the podcast 'Op zoek Naar Vrijheid' by Sjors van Dongen. Together they discussed The Presence Process — a unique method to learn integrating emotional discomfort. The book's key quote: 'it's not about feeling better, but about getting better at feeling.'
What participants say
"Unfolding. That word covers what Tessa's lessons mean to me. For years I've followed her online, and in all that time I've slowly untangled things that had settled deep inside me: emotions, thoughts, beliefs I didn't even know I carried. It's a path from unconscious to awareness. Sometimes gentle, sometimes painfully honest. But always real. Tessa guides that process with a calm that gives you trust. She forces nothing, but invites. And in the silence of a yin pose, sometimes more happens than just talking. For anyone ready to unfold a little: I highly recommend Tessa."
Claire van Nunen · Yin Yoga
"Tessa truly has a unique coaching style. She knows how to bring you back to the here and now with great attention, and let you feel through what is going on inside you. She truly embodies what she also shares in her coaching 🙏🏼"
Sjors van Dongen · 1-on-1 Coaching
"For a while I had 1-on-1 coaching with Tessa. What I really appreciated is that she always lets you think for yourself about the answers and is never judgmental or pushy. She mainly explores together with you what fits and resonates with who you are. There's no digging into the past or dwelling on the stories around it, but mainly focusing on the here and now. What helps you, what is happening... She is calm, radiates safety and trust, and never makes you feel 'different'. Because of this you come closer and closer to your own core. She also gives clear tips and you don't leave with a full head. She knows exactly when to reframe or ask follow-up questions, and hits the nail on the head in a loving way. In short, I felt incredibly supported and in the right place to grow!"
